Nothing to take away from how phenomenal Hield was there in the second half, but JJ was just as bad in the second half.

You could see us lose focus and revel in the fact we had a 14 point lead on the #1 team in the country. JJ did nothing to keep the team focus and keep going to work. On the other hand as Brent and Dick said multiple times, OU just kept going about business, was calm and methodical and kept doing work to bring them all the way back.

Everyone saying Simmons main fault is being too passive, well isn't that something a coach should fix. Simmons being passive in those situations falls on JJ. Everyone knows NBA coaches will get Simmons to reach his full potential. No one has faith in JJ to do it.

NBA head coaches are the most irrelevant people in sports. You think Simmons is going to all of a sudden click on both sides of the ball with coaches like Jason Kidd?

Well thats what counts isn't it. JJ will likely never have a team more talented than this one. I suppose then, the peak is playing at a high level against great teams.

Great effort, but holy hell, how do you not prepare a team to engage on D at or beyond the arc? Simmons and Victor (and Epps for that matter) are so good at altering shots. You don't need your 1, 2, and 3 guys to suck down to stop the intermediate and low-post game. You want OU to go inside. There were only a couple of times the entire night that OU hit a three with a hand in their face. The others were guys being left alone or lost after ball screens.

Oklahoma didn't even play good offense in the second half. Not any better setup or ball movement than we had They just hit every fricking shot. If they miss one of those threes, they lose. End of story. Live and die by the three. They got resurrected and and won that bitch
