Why dont you make your thread title more in line with the article instead of making everyone go through the bullshite?

It's just a list of 5-6 schools that lost a lot of production to the nfl. Then is goes into detail re: players lost. LSU is first. Not sure why the OP couldn't say that.

Alabama's biggest challenge and the one that will bite them is replacing a 3-4 year starter at QB. Same as every school who goes into a season with a QB that has barely taken a snap in a meaningful game in a meaningful situation(s).

Most people suspected that McCarron was going to be a better QB than McElroy and he was a perfect fit in Bama's system. I have no clue who will be the next Bama QB but I'm guessing it is out of Cooper Bateman or Alec Morris and neither are getting much fanfare. They are trying to get Jacob Coker to transfer over from FSU which likely means they don't have too much confidence in what they have in their cupboard.

I thought the article was directly in line w the subject. Let me finish the rest of the subject line ..... "that LSU is #1 in early departures to NFL." There. Feel better? Good subject but old news. LSU needs to win another championship to shut the negative talk about leaving early up!

Did anyone read the first few paragraphs? Or did everyone skip to just the LSU part? I think the OP is saying that the players are leaving early because they want to be paid. They feel they should share some of the profit that the NCAA is making off of them.

It's not like Coker was a top recruit. I've very different opinions from some FSU people.

On the topic of the early departures discussed in the article, it is interesting that among its players, Alabama is losing: Vinnie Sunseri, S (junior): 20 tackles, 2 interceptions, 4 passes defended.

Sunseri's Dad is an Assistant Coach at Florida State. So I imagine his Dad may have advised him that it was good idea to come out early too.

Both times the defense was loaded, and both times, the offensive line was a strength. This year it was a weakness, and losing Kouandajo will hurt it more. McElroy was three years in the system before he started a game, and McCarron was two years in. These guys know they have nobody on the roster that can be ready this year, so they are hoping on a true freshman, or a transfer QB to strike gold.

Profit sharing with college players? Really that is the line the agents use with players. The profit sharing is being treated like a king on a free ride and oh by the way some even choose to get a degree. That is more than enough profit sharing.
