It appears that we have sunk to the level of NWst in Natchitouches. We were extremely lucky to beat them this past week, and they played LSU straight up. That's where we are. We will see if JJ has the wherewithal to elevate the program back to where a program with LSU's stature should always be. Last year was a great high, but this year's team is an inexplicable low. I was a JJ fan after last year, but he has baffled me all year and I have now lost all confidence he can build this program back. I certainly hope I am incorrect.

Yeah Arizona won a national championship only 4 seasons before Jay was hired there compared to 13 for LSU so it was a more established program.

Stupid example. That NC team last year lost to Nichols and ULL.

Well enough to deserve a bid.

But Jay gets 4-5 years to correct it because he won one CWS.
Nope!

Jay gets one more year to correct it or it's Adios Amigo.

Same standards in LSU Baseball as in LSU Football.

Shrimpy Orgeron hits "Lightning in a Bottle" (Burrow, Brady, Aranda, Chase) in 2019 and sideline claps his way into the NC.

2020 and 2021 if falls apart and Shrimpy gets the boot. (White Shrimping Boots)

Jay hits the same "LIAB" (Skenes, Crews, Wes Johnson) in 2023 and wins the CWS, then it falls apart in 2024.

He's in the same boat as McMahon for 2025. Turn it around or it's "Farewell and Adieu."

It's LSU, not Mid-Major, or Division 2/3.

You have the Resources to be successful every season without missing a beat. (And "Successful" doesn't mean winning a NC)

All the Jay Johnson Sycophants and Mediocrity Accepting Program Cheerleader types should be getting a little nervous right about now.

If he can't keep it going at the minimum standards set for LSU Baseball, he'll be gone a la Orgeron.

No one Head Coach is bigger than the Program; either Shite or get off the Pot........

They haven't, and will likely not get out of a regional if they do make it. But they still should not be in this shape. LSU always needs to go to the tourney.

I'm with you, but get ready. The Sunshine Pumpers have you in their sights. How dare you criticize a coach? I was castigated for several years while I was pointing out what a bufoon Les Miles is.

Poster now blames Jay Johnson for Covid.

This is where we’re at, people.

Covid is why Arizona missed the postseason in 2018 and 2019

Can he get 1 offseason to correct it? It's one down season. Florida is going through the same thing, so I guess they should be impatient with their top 5 coach as well.

This is silly. The rest of the team matures, they add a new recruiting class, and they also add players from the portal. You got Jacob Berry from the portal. You got Tommy White from the portal. Maybe you can hit on another 1st round type talent again there? If not, you can still have a much better overall team.

Everybody loses players. LSU should have a bit more experience next season.

There is absolutely no excuse for lsu baseball not to have a stud ss and at least 3 stud starter pitchers every year. None. Even more so with nil now. No excuse. Nit expecting natty every year but at least be in the discussion

Yeah I’m sorry if we have another season like this one next year, he needs to gtfo. He just thinks this season was a pressure cooker. Next year will be even higher.
