are saying the season is lost. I've been about as big a JJ backer as there is during the last week but it had nothing to do with football. Football-wise there is probably little to no drop off in terms of what we can expect in production and experience is obviously not going to be an issue. The season would have turned out just as good or as bad as it will in the end anyways.

My biggest concern is for the JJ's. I think the Tigers will be just fine.

the season is not lost...it is found. Lee is very capable(miles coach speak) and I think he can do very well in our new offense.

The season is not lost. The biggest question will be can the team overcome the couple of weeks of distraction and be mentally prepared for the first game. After that, it will all be forgotten. As far as production goes, I think overall we'll be better off. With Lee we'll probably turn the ball over more, but I think we'll score more points than we would with JJ. High Risk High Reward. Defense is going to be the backbone of this team anyway

To be honest we are in worse shape NOT having Sheppard than JJ. But I still think LSU is gonna have a great season. I see a BIG win over the Ducks and the game that scares me is MSU On a THURS night @ MSU. It would make their season to beat LSU and they remember what happened two years ago.

I'm not saying that, and I won't say that. But, I'm disappointed in a kid's lost opportunity. A lot of us had high hopes for this year, not so much on preference for one QB or another, past performances, or the media, but from indirect coach and player talk, etc.... the idea of J.J. putting it all together, new O.C., a guy we pull for to come in when necessary...on and on.

I've already thrown my loyalty to J.L. and hope for the best. Without Ridley, or another back that will bang tackles, ends, LB's over and over again for every inch.... if our OL isn't much better on run blocking... we're in trouble. They weren't good last year. The two years before when J.J. was a SO and JR, they were awful and overrated at the same time.

If we can run the ball, I think J.L. will be okay. All I'm saying.

Yes we are,lee doesn't have to run,LSU has some of the best running backs in the nation,so LSU is going to do just fine.

I'm more worried about Shep and the distraction as a whole. Not so much that we lost the SWAG.

I think the teams mindset will be critical early in the season.

If they can be focused and ready to go through Sept I think they will carry thru the rest of the season

If something doesn't go their way and they lose a couple, well it could be a rough one from there

just a week to see how it looks and Les has always rallied the troops at LSU pretty well so we've got that on LSU's side
