they are xtremely negative and pessimistic about lsu making any changes.

I can't believe how many statements made on here that we go in the toilet if we let miles go.

who knows? no one.

I'm not gonna get excited about this talk - I fully expected miles to serve out the end of his contract.

Wrong! I am a positiger and have supported Miles as HC and still do in spirit. But its time for a change. One can respect our soon to be former HC and still understand that change is needed.

I'm not seeing much of that at all.

Most of the "positigers" wish for and hope for the best for LSU no matter who the coach is.

Of course there are some extremists in both camps. Heck, there were some people rooting for us to lose to Ole Miss.

They really are.

This is a weak mentality.. "Ohhh I don't wanna relive those terrible terrible years"

Newsflash.. LSU has already replaced a tremendous coach unexpected.. while on top.. and survived.. and that coach was nothing special coming in..

LSU won't do any worse and has potential to be so much better given the talent.

looking at the execution the past three weeks, i don't see lsu getting any worse. the talent is out there, but they look like chickens with their heads cut off.

There are so many examples of big school that thought like this it's not even worth listing them all.

I'm not saying we should keep Miles, but assuming we can only do better is asinine.

I wasn't a full blown positiger... I was a hopingtiger. I wasn't for keeping Miles at all costs, but I did think that risk wasn't worth the reward.

I'll be honest. I'm converted. I no longer see the upside for NOT taking the risk. When you make the same mistakes over and over AND pretend like there's no issue there's no mistaking of where you are at.

Syracuse is what did it for me, with E Michigan confirming it. UF actually pissed me off because saw the same things in that game as Syr and EMU, but with that win he became more entrenched.

It's a real possibility. No one knows what's going to happen. But to just ignore that it could happen is just as silly as ignoring our offense the last few years. There is no guarantee we get better just because Les leaves.

There might be some confusion over the true definition of a PosiTiger.

Every fan wants LSU football to be great. That's universal. So that alone doesn't make one a PosiTiger.

The real PosiTiger are the guys that branded Miles critics as "NegaTigers". The NegaTigers pointed out for years that LSU looks poorly coached, makes too many mistakes like false starts and blamed the head coach for these deficiencies. The guys who attacked the critics for being so negative branded them NegaTigers, and the dichotomy was born.

The PosiTigers are the guys who dismissed the concerns of the Negas by citing the following: 1) winning ugly doesn't matter, Les wins. That's all that matters; 2) Miles's winning percentage is outstanding, so, shut up Negas; 3) Miles is a great recruiter, so shut up Negas.

BOTH Negas and Posis agreed that LSU should be great and win NCs in bunches. The difference was the PosiTigers defended Miles vigorously and never waivered from their opinion that people who thought that LSU was poorly coached were totally wrong.

We do know what will happen if he stays.

Insanity.....doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result.

i agree, but if miles retires or is let go, then what difference does it make?

I've seen people on here forecasting doom for LSU if he's fired/let go and not on his own terms. Well, what if he retired? LSU is in the same position if he does that, aren't they?

Sure, it's a real possibility that things go south, further south than they are right now. However, I think some are so tied to what Miles has done that it's blinded them to think that he's the only one to take this program forward.

And you'll notice in my first post I said nothing about keeping Miles here.

I have no idea how some people come up with their thoughts on here

There are likely a few people like this.

I think it is time for change, but only if we can get somebody better. Different doesn't necessarily mean better.. I will say I think Les is a good coach and a great man. But it doesn't feel like he'll take us to where we want to be.

How is Steele not getting any blame for this? We fire Miles but keep the DC/OC?

I remember a time where 17 points was enough to beat Bama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. We are allowing like 34 points a game the last 3 weeks and it's all put on Miles?
