Would you rather...

be 3 loss USC or 3 loss LSU?
typically I would say LSU's losses were "better." But the fact that Miles behaved the way he did and laid it on the players does not make me optimistic for the future, so I would rather be in USC's situation.

They have better wins, we have better loses.
Their coach is better than ours.
So I guess I'd rather be them.

3 loss lsu. We lose to the #1 and 2 teams in the nation. Go down swinging at the 5 yard line of Ole Miss. USC got fricking stomped by Oregon and Stanford , Lucky Pete is heading to a downslide.

I'd rather USC never come up in another thread on the Rant unless there's something USEFUL to be gleaned from a comparison between LSU and them.

Because there is no utility in comparing two three loss teams that were the premier teams in college football most of this decade?
I think the comparison is very relevant. The world is ending here in BR? What's going on in LA?

Usc got stomped in two of their losses and also lost to a team we beat. USC has more top recruits than any other team in the country by far. Pete Carrolls coaching or lack there of has also come into question lately. Miles f'd up the end of one game on national TV. Hard to say who has seen the bigger failure of expectations lately

Unless it's for the sake of BCS position argument, talking about facing each other in a game, or something else of that ilk, I fail to see any relevance at all. USC and LSU have nothing to do with each other (like most years).
Other than wishful thinking, e-peen waving, and people's personal wishes, show me the utility?

Well that is some strict criteria that I refuse to comply with. If you don't want to talk about USC, there are 1,000,000 other threads today, why don't you get on one of those?

checked there message board and there really aren't a lot of fans calling for the firing of Pete Carroll. I don't get it. If LSU got stomped the way USC has then imagine how this board would be right now.

This thread was intended to force some people to take a step back and think. There have been alot of strong reactions to what happened saturday. I am not satisfied with what happened, but is worth thinking about LSU's situation rather than having a gut reaction.

I'll willingly admit that part of my bias against threads containing USC as part of the subject matter (or, at least the central focus) is due to my perception that there's still a lingering fascination/curiosity with them by LSU fans that seems silly.
I'm sorry I didn't answer the way you expected. Not trying to be a dick at all. Sorry & I'll get out.
