i would not mind either of mine being one of those. i dont think it will happen for the oldest, she isnt into cheer and dance

neither. How about a scholarship SOFTBALL PLAYER like mine will be in a few years at a division 1 school?

My Daughter is a presently cheerleader, and there is a big difference. I don't know all the details of a GG, and I welcome being educated, but my understanding is that GG's only do football games and Band related events. Cheerleaders do multiple sports as well as promotional events.

For your girls, it really depends on their desires because cheering is more athletic and physical while GG is more dance and choreography. Although both are demanding, they are very different skills. There are many opportunities for your girls to get close to the Cheerleaders and GGs for the next several year, and soak it in. It's a highly competitive process, so can't start too soon.

Proud parents for sure. Wife, siblings, and especially my dad, (LSU '56) have been overwhelmed.
