Would the rest of the SEC reimburse us $8,000,000?

The S. Alabama buyout = $1,500,000
Refund Ticket Sales = $6,500,000
When the conference splits up all the TV & Bowl money in the spring, would they be willing to fork over some extra expenses to cover LSU losing a home game. I'm sure Fla would have the same gripe over losing a non-conf home game as well.

102,000 * $30 = $3,060,000
Wonder if they'd refund a prorated portion of TAF fees and the parking passes?

Yeah....the number being reported is around $3.5MM, and that includes concessions, ancillary, etc. Total figure being reported including buyout of opponent in the neighborhood of $5MM.
I'm curious where he got these numbers?

Nobody is discussing the local impact on businesses, such as restaurants & hotels. Canceling a home game would have a dramatic impact beyond ticket sales and buyouts.

Watch party on the field of tiger stadium for the game would likely bring in many of the people that would have gone to the South Alabama game.

Half the stadium will leave at halftime to watch the rest of the game in the parking lot.

I forgot the non-conf opponent was a cheaper ticket, but wild arse guess on luxury box, club level, and concessions loss/refund. So if the number is more like $5mm, would the SEC still be willing to take that amount from the rest of the leagues revenue share to reimburse LSU's loss for taking one for the "team"? Also, wouldn't Florida have close to $4mm for the same situation?
