I think Miles stays 1-3 years with him retiring at the end of that time period. But, with specific performance standards that must be met (win lost record, recruiting, etc).

Chip Kelly comes in as OC/HC in waiting. He's guaranteed HC job if again certain performance standards are met (offensive ranking, points scored, whatever).

Steele is given 1-2 years to show he can create top defense. Again, they set performance standards.

To me, this is a great solution. Miles is treated with respect and given chance to clean up his legacy. Minimal impact on recruiting. Actually, would be a big boost on recruiting, especially offensive players. With the excitement on the O side of the ball, I would think the D side recruiting would improve as well.

If these guys meet their goals, it's a win win for the program with minimal lost during transition phase to a new coach.

The Jim Fisher thing, to me, sounds like wishful thinking. Just using rumors to improve his package at FSU.

Ok.........have at it.

He's done. Nothing could be more obvious. If he did stay he is too damaged to be effective

Miles = AD
Kelly = HC
Steele = LB coach/ recruiting coordinator

That is the only acceptable combination of those listed.

?????

Why would he agree to change his existing contract to that?

So let's tell potential recruits that your head coach might be here one, no wait maybe two, oh wait maybe three years and then we're going to get rid of him and hire someone else. Makes sense.

well as long as we are in fantasy world...

IF MILES GUARANTEED to stay out of offense....

Miles = HC
Kelly = OC
Boom = DC

ED O
Frank both retained....

Rummel....I think you could live with that...just saying......lol

btw...I think Kelly > Fisher.....as long as good DC.....but just my opinion.

Dude - Chip Kelly is NEVER going to be a coordinator in college again. Never, ever. He'll coach a small school, as HC, IF NECESSARY, but his resume just doesn't say "OC/HCIW". Not going to happen. Won't happen.

Go home 868891 - you're drunk.

Oh, this makes perfect sense. Since he has this stellar record of hiring competent assistants.

1709tiger - FSU had that same scenario for years.

Rex, Miles is going to get his money regardless of whether he goes Sunday or at the end of the contract.

Most posters here think Fisher is a shoe in - I don't buy it. Why would he leave that program. He's using us.

Under my scenario, Kelly gets a shot at HC at LSU. If you are Kelly, do you want this job or something like Miami, or S Carolina?

He was kidding obviously. Most know Kelly has an ego....and plenty of money. It was fantasy.

I'd love Miles HC, Kelly oc, doom dc.......I think you could live with it too.

No they didnt!

They had a coordinator with NO head coaching experience as coach in waiting, not a former nfl head coach.
