Go 9-3 (lose to Bama and another opponent) and play in Outback Bowl vs. Big 10 team. Alleva won't fire him with that record. If you want him gone then the train needs to come completely off the track this year.

We could very well lose to Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, Bama, Arkansas and Texas College Station. That's 5-7 worst case probably. No way we win more than 3 of those so 9-3 just left the building.

The very worst case scenario is that we have to ride out his contract!

AU didn't look good. What did they play? 5 QBs??

Ole Miss looked gassed early on defense quickly and Kelly ALWAYS goes for the big play. 3 INTs. They looked unbeatable in the 1st quarter, but gave up 45 points, and that was with 6 FGs.

AM looked better, but not "good".

UF?? Struggled mightily against UMASS.

He's implying that it would be long term worst case scenario to win just enough games that they dont fire him. 9-3 would be "worse" for LSU than 5-7 with a firing.

I believe that train will come off the tracks. After watching the game 8 wins is the ceiling for this team. 7 more likely and either of those should bet Miles fired.

If we don't make it to Atlanta then Les will be fired. End of story.

The very very worst case scenario is that the geniuses in the administration give Miles another contract extension.

And even though Arkansas looked like shite, they always look like complete garbage early in the year and have spanked us by 17 two times in a row. And we've got to go there this year where we barely ever play well.

This entire fiasco is F-ing Alexander's doing. He should be fired before any coaching search commences

Even Miles has said he cannot successfully recruit players when coaches on the staff do not have secure long-term deals. If a HS recruit knows his college head coach isn't supported by a long term deal from the administration then it is easy for other programs to negatively recruit against that.

Recruiting is Miles' strength. The last thing you want is for that outgoing coach to be allowed to sputter out subpar recruiting classes setting up the incumbent coach for multiple rebuilding years.

Look what happened to Miami, Texas, and USC. Those are 3 monster programs with national championships and loaded NFL roster pipelines, all sitting in recruiting hotbeds that are basically decimated by shitty coaches & athletics directors running their programs into the ground.

Add Alabama and Tennessee to that list as well as being allowed by the administration to have a revolving door at HC in the last 15yrs and you are setup for becoming bottom feeders in their divisions.

I don't think LSU administration will accept a 9-3 season without winning the West with this team's talent similar to Georgia last year firing Richt after going 9-3.
