In 07, he hired Crowton, although he didn't have to fire the OC. After 2010, he hired Kragthorpe, although he never got to coach because of a medical problem. Promoted Stud to OC. That lasted two years till 2013 when Les hired Cameron. On D, he should have hired someone after 07 when Pelini left, but went with Malveto. Then hired Chavis in 09. That lasted till 2014 when after the season Chavis left and Les hired Steele. That last one year and then hired Aranda. So outside of 08, he has made changes when needed.

Now I think we can all agree we could have (insert named OC) and it wouldn't matter as Les will tell him what to run. That is a seperate issue.

Cam was on the sideline, just as advertised. However, no changes in offensive scheme.

This is right up there with the eighth wonder of the world. As I watch all kinds of other teams across the country start first year qb's and seem to complete the forward pass with ease blows my mind. It looked as if Harris regressed. I cant figure out how that is possible.

We also hired a new RB and WR coach, both are hot names and in the future will get shots at being OC's. What I would like to know, is where is the Craig touch on this offense? Of course, they probably practiced some stuff he suggested trying, but "we weren't ready to install it in the gameplan"... If nothing changes after this season, he'll be gone.

Simply put, Les is arrogant and rather than seeing what happened last year as an ultimatum on his failures, he took it as the fact that he is untouchable and nothing he is doing is wrong.

I know people want to claim he puts on an act with his inept Elmer Fudd persona, but reality is more than likely that he is closer to the missing link.

I could say I wish basketball or baseball are coming but chances are those two will stink as well. I think with what is coming back baseball should play for a title but we will probably get disappointed again like football. Basketball I just hope we decide to throw more money at a coach but doubt it since the state is bankrupt.

He didn't replace Cam because he believed continuity with Harris was the most important factor for success on offense this year. But I'll say it as I did several times last year, if you really want Les gone after this season, then you should be happy he kept Cam. A new coach with a new system would just give this year a big excuse.

Stubborn to fault, his way or the highway

It's just not going to get better, because he will not try anything different.

Making changes is important, but taking care of your friends is more important for Les.

He's always going to find his buddies another job (Paveto, Malveto) and will only "allow a coach to pursue other opportunities" if he has no strong affiliation (Steele, Ball).

Cam and Peveto aren't going anywhere unless someone else makes a serious offer of hiring them, which no one is doing for obvious reasons.

He wants to coach what he understands. Unwilling to accept the game has passed him by and our opponents have figured out how to defend his scheme.

Maybe Les just isn't capable of doing the job well anymore?

I honestly think he doesn't know any other offensive system to put in.

Saban could take the 3rd string pimple faced kid from Brother Martin and win a national title. I say we give the two-left-footed backup a chance.

Im not exactly sold on this. I know its Miles responsibility to hire a competent OC. Stud was not the answer and I had no problem with Miles over seeing his play calls.

Cam Cameron ran these exact same plays in San Diego and Baltimore. Except for the toss dive. Thats one that Miles can have credit for.

Theres a reason that the TE and RB were the only ones putting up stats every year. Thats all on Cameron unless Im missing something.

If anything, at the end of the day, all this tells me is that Miles cant seem to hire the right person for the job.
