About to catch hell for posting in the rant but as a BAMA fan that quote has always stuck in my mind in regards to Les Miles. While at the time I do think he was simply playing to the crowd it resonated. Is it relevant today? Hard to say but it hasn't been forgotten by a lot of the BAMA nation. He also commented on his success against teams in red.

It was just a stupid thing to say. I'm sure he was trying to convince himself and his audience that he was a good as Saban. I frankly have never liked the Tide nor Nicky, but I respect what they've done. IMO Miles had the opportunity to string together several championships while LSU was on top. The second tier has caught up and it's much tougher now.
