He won't get past the Raiders.

ETA: if the Pat's don't pick him, I mean.

The guy responsible for them being visionary just stepped away. Are or you saying there’s someone else behind the scenes that made them visionary over the years?

Why does Mayo being hired mean that the Pats draft target JD5? You never explained that

Literally every draft expert had JD going to the pats before the hire in mock drafts

Historically, the Patriots are behind the curve and direction of the Arizona Cardinals without Belecik and Brady.

No. I’m saying I think that was OP’s thought process in thinking Mayo would go after JD5 but Belichick wouldn’t.

The Patriots hired Jerod Mayo and are about to write the next chapter in their legendary history of the NFL. The Patriots are always ahead of the curve and direction of the NFL.

WOW! There is a lot of cra-cra in here! Not sure I've ever seen a more homer post...and that's saying a LOT!

But's it's Patriots homerism.

First, the PAtriots are NOT always ahead of the curve. Not even close.
JD5 and TB12 have nothing in common other than they both play QB.
The NFL has NO such vision! You really think the NFL, or anyone beyond you, is thinking of the Patriots drafting JD and JD and Jackson "dueling it out?"
JD hasn't even been drafted and you're calling him and Jackson the next Manning/Brady rivalry? Crazy!
And finally, Mayo is a defensive coach. His hiring will have little impact on the development and success of a future QB.

But hey! Homer on man! Homer on!

Makes sense: JD to run spread with Mayo.

Belichick is/was the decision maker, how are the Patriots visionary and ahead of the curve but not Belichick?

Like the majority of HC's that win Super Bowls.

Mayo doesn't have the necessary experience or background to be a HC in the NFL and will be gone in 2 years.

That's like hiring Neon Deion to replace Saban at Alabama!
