With all the media attention calling for Jones to be fired....

Why hasn't Alleva made an appearance to give him a vote of confidence if in fact he is going to return next season.
When the Miles saga went down the past season, I remember Alleva gave a news conference stating that he typically does not evaluate any coach's performance until the season is fully complete.
Well, our season has been over for a while now. Where's Alleva? Seems like he should be making some kind of statement one way or the other.

I don't really care for Jones but Alleva doesn't need to have a presser every time the media calls for a coach to be fired. The media has proven to know nothing and report what they want to generate interest.

To be blunt, I have absolutely no confidence in Alleva's ability to hire a competent HC in any sport. Alleva is a Business Manager , not unlike Mickey Loomis, a bean counter that excels at hob nobbing and self preservation.

For the sake of all our sports programs I was hoping Aleva would be gone by the spring. He has not clout left, is simply a puppet, and has not shown an ability to make a quality hire. He gets credit for the softball coach... the softball coach who was not his first choice.
Basketball is his speciality and he's 0-3 on that one. I don't want to hear he was forced to hire Jones. If that's the case, he never had clout to begin with, and a should never have been AD.

Alleva has other things to do like be on the NCAA Tournament committee. Basketball season is over in Baton Rouge. Nobody cares
