If LSU is playing for next year and not for victory, then they are quitting on the goals they set for this year. All of the players would agree with me, particularly the seniors.

Once again, you can play for both. Repeating the false dichotomy doesnt make it true....no matter how badly you want to make it true to make your absurd argument.

quote:

I did not create the dichotomy. I'm just using the dichotomy created by most posters.

I dont remember the posters claiming that by playing Harris we would lose. I think you have reading comprehension issues. Claiming that playing Harris would result in a loss is pretty short sided and a pretty pathetic statement by you to a current member of the team. I realize you want AJ to play, but bashing another player is wrong.

quote:

Most posters agree that Jennings gives LSU a better chance to win NOW.

No they dont. The Miles pumper brigade and mouthbreathers like you think so....and believe it or not, yall are the minority of posters on this site.

quote:

I was giving specific examples of similar BAD messages. One should never quit in the current time period to focus on the following time period.

Quitting involves doing nothing. Are you actually suggesting that if the team plays Harris that they would forfeit all remaining games?

Like i said, your OP, and now this absurd diatribe of a response is an abject failure. You can't even cogently articulate an argument without using false dichotomies, strawmen, and then bashing another player (albeit subtly).

You're the worst kind of fan, and Ive seen your type before. JustMe used to be the same way for JJ. He gone now. Tiger fans are still here....save us all the time and just leave now.

Okay mouthbreather. Tell me where ANY POSTER said that playing Harris results in automatic losses.

You act like this is a good thing. The majority of people on this board are retarded imbeciles, lack football knowledge and are awful self proclaimed "fans".

no they arent. Disagreeing with your HS education doesnt make them imbeciles.

once again, agreeing with you doesnt make someone "good" or "awful".

It's ok though, you dont even understand how your comment reflects on you.

No, its not really debatable that a large portion of posters on this board are terrible fans.

assuming you are even correct ( I dont ), Salviati is still wrong in his claim, and thanks for backing me up on that.

What happens if the "winners" don't quit in the face of adversity, but they still lose in the event or game or whatever?

Did they face the adversity? Did the adversity beat them? Are they still winners? Are they losers?

Let's break this down and take each question in turn.
quote:

Did they face the adversity?
Yes.
quote:

Did the adversity beat them?
No. They lost the event or game or whatever, so they lost to the adversary, but they didn't lose to the adversity.
quote:

Are they still winners?
In the event or game or whatever, they lost. That happens. But in life, they are winners.
quote:

Are they losers?
Again, in the event or game or whatever, they lost. That happens. But in life, they are winners.

It does matter how you play the game.

So you can only be a winner in the face of adversity with AJ at QB....

that's interesting. Can you tell me more?

supatigah was absolutely right:
quote:

you are the King of the Straw Man
I never said "that playing Harris results in automatic losses." I don't believe that starting Harris results in automatic losses.

Nor did I say that "ANY POSTER said that playing Harris results in automatic losses." I don't think that any poster believes that starting Harris results in automatic losses.

I did, however, repeat the thought of most posters on this board that Jennings gives LSU the best chance for victory this year. Because, again, although many posters believe that Harris is the future at QB, Jennings gives LSU the best chance to win NOW.

You truly have a problem properly quoting someone.

This is what I actually said:
quote:

Watch this video: Harris v. Jennings at Auburn

Jennings is MUCH better than Harris, and it's not even close.
Do you see the part of my post that you left out? The part in which I say: "Watch this video:" and then I link a video? Do you see that part?

When you look at that video, Jennings is MUCH better than Harris, and it's not even close.

No, I don't. Miles knows a LOT more about football than I do.

With respect to the topic of this thread, Miles knows a LOT more about winning in the face of adversity than I do.

As to the subject matter that has been thrust into this thread, Miles knows a LOT more about the talents of LSU's QBs than I do. In particular, Miles knows a LOT more about which QB gives LSU the best chance for victory. And he knows a LOT more about it than you or any of the other posters in this thread or on this board.

I'm willing to accept the fact that Miles knows more about LSU football than I do.

Are you?

That's an unfair comparison... Miles put Harris into a meat-grinder against a AU team that had the LSU game circled on the calendar when the schedule came out..IMO LSU would not have won that game no matter who started.... Against NMS Harris bailed out Jennings...Care to debate THAT??????
