Willie Allen headed to Texas Juco

IMO if he wanted to go to TCU, that's fine bc they aren't in the SEC. Going to JUCO allows him to consider any school especially if he blows up this year.

I think the TCU block was because they were contacting him before he was looking around. Didn't sit well with LSU with how it was handled. I could be way off base, though. I know this because I stayed at a holiday inn last night.

Well considering TCU apparently violated NCAA rules be recruiting him, them and Willie can go pound sand.

They need to make a statement. A lot of money goes into the recruitment of players and if we allow other schools to come in and cherry pick our 3rd stringers, then we'll lose out. I'm fine with the guy going to JUCO. If he doesnt have any patience or desire to earn a starting spot, then best of luck to him in the smaller weaker divisions.

They didnt necessarily violate rules. Rules say coaches cant contact/recruit players on other teams, they definitely could have been using others, say Justin Rogers, to contact him and recruit him to TCU though. By rules, not illegal, but obviously we werent going to put up with that...and this wasn't the first time TCU was recruiting our current roster players to their school, which is why Coach O put the block on Allen. It was nothing personal against Allen, he just had to send a message to TCU our current players are not your recruiting grounds.
