Interesting stuff. On the first round of ticket allocation, 8,800 requests were made, limits were placed, and only 20,000 of 29,000 available tickets were allotted. Now, they're having a second request period to try and fill the 29,000. Only those that originally requested tickets can request a second time.

The original ticket allocation was as follows:

Wisconsin 40k (11k held for students, band, UW AD, players, etc.)
LSU 20k
Packers 20k (club seats, suites, etc.)

Hope we end up getting a majority of those extra tickets and putting more people in the stadium than them in their home state.

So... I'm a non-TAF donating, non-season ticket holding, semi-drunk alum with a hotel room in Green Bay reserved, a flight booked, and no tickets. What should I do to secure a pair at this point?

Find a current season ticket holder who isn't going and have him put in a request for you.

Stubhub. Wisconsin is going to sell out their allotment. Only thing you could hope for is Wisconsin's donors and season ticket holders don't request their full allotment and they put the rest on sale to the general public. I'm a season ticket holder and am not banking on getting any tickets through LSU.

I bought tickets at face value in their section directly off their athletic office website for the houston game two years. I had to sign up for their free athletic newsletter, but it was a steal. Great seats too.

Possibly try this new website called Seatgeek... A lot of Youtubers also have promo codes and what not. Seems like a pretty reliable website

There's your problem. You gotta go all out. Then, and only then, your ticket mystery will be solved.

They will. Sounds like the AD wanted to make sure even the small-time donors got tickets. Now that they have, the big dogs will grab the rest.

I can attest that most Badger fans are pretty damn excited to see the Badgers play on what they consider to be hallowed ground. These 9,000 tickets won't last long.

Just wait for the individual game seat sales to come open (August for LSU, mid-june for Wiscy).

Didn't work either. I did manage to pee in my oleanders, however.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but the impression I got was that individual game tickets wouldn't be a possibility for schmucks like me. At least not on the primary market.

my advice, and I've done this countless times. even as a season ticket holder, there are always away games you didn't get tickets to. or home games that more people want to come because its a top 5 matchup....and i even did it in tuscaloosa in 2011.......wait until 10 minutes before the game and people wanting to get to their seats will sell them.

I have never paid more than $100 to get into any college game, and i've been to 100's.

may not work at lambeau, but thats what i would do.....

and good luck, and you may want to water your garden next time.

eta: the only problem with this approach is NOT having peace of mind all day while tailgating that you are "IN".

I get the gist of the urination factor but am curios as to where the "oleanders" term came from. Oleander is a plant and I have used one as a shield to pee but find no other definition. Enlighten me!

There is no way this is a real thing.

I did the same for LSU as a non season ticket holder

No way the UW allotment doesn't sell out, and if the stadium is not overwhelmingly pro-UW, I'll be astounded.

Meh. 60-40 UW. It won't be overwhelming.

I went to one UW game at Madison (Camp Randall).
Former gf was Big Ten undergrad and law grad. We went together, stayed at the UW people's house.

The people were bragging on how wonderful it was the day before and how it would be, even as we were getting seated. I think that spells real interest.

I have worked with some of those UW-Madison people. They are into it. Cheese. Milk. football. Hockey.

Partied with them.

all seats were sold.
