Looks like we have plenty of arms this year and I know he is a valuable piece of the staff, but he was very good at the high school level both on the mound and in the field.

Giving a player a rest and a new guy some reps is a need sometimes

Milam will end up at shortstop if braswell struggles.

Guidry has had two fall seasons to show what he can do at shortstop and at the plate. He’s been a pitcher only for both spring seasons.

I’ll let you figure it out.

You could probably say Guidry is going to need some rest too, not more added to his plate. Especially when we have guys that are better than Guidry at that position.

He has Milam, Kocharek, and Roellig in front of him. Add Nippolt.

He will not play SS if he bats that poorly.
Between Milam and Kutcherak it just will not happen.
Also if Guidry could hit .270 he’d be playing SS this weekend. (I really like Guidry in the middle infield but his bat is keeping him in the bullpen)

He's too valuable out of the bullpen, particularly right now.

Word on the street is Guidry and CJJ got into a disagreement in the offseason about playing in the field/getting ABs and was put in the doghouse. He won't see the field or get an AB this year. CJJ wants him as a PO this year.

I can't imagine this is true... he spent the off season playing in the middle infeild and batting plenty. The results at the plate have dictated him sticking with pitching. IF you kept up with the scrimmages in the off season you would know there would be no disagreement. Plate production is the reason he is pitching exclusively.

No, I didn't really keep up with the off-season production just going by what I saw first-hand during his high school playing days. Wow I just ask a simple question and get downvoted by all these family members.

maybe if Paul was still coaching, but Jay has shown time and time again he values offense over defense.

Posters that go to the fall scrimmages give updates. In two full fall seasons, where Guidry was only a position player and not pitching, I’m pretty sure he’s hitting below .200.
