Will the admin make sure LSU gets Herman or Fisher?

Do you believe the LSU administration, football ops, and TAF will make sure LSU's next coach is either Herman or Fisher?
I only mention Herman or Fisher b/c those are the only 2 that are at the top of the list, and rightfully so. Honestly if we have to go to the next tier lower, its quite a drop and not one we should accept.

Not with F King running things. That's pretty obvious.

If the administration stays the f out of it, I think we might be able to grab one. TAF will get what they want, and they want Fisher but Herman will do.
Your problems lie in the AD and President.

LSU was able to kick the can down the road with the so-called financial issues F King was so vehemently worried about and the buyout has lessened.
Miles is done, it's over.

The young up and comer is not a drop off. If not Herman or fisher, we need someone with youth and promise to put some energy back into the football program because it is getting very stale.

No, its not obvious. They made decisions based on things outside football last time. I would assume when going to get a head coach, they should want to put all this to bed. Only way to do that is to get the best coach you can.
Otherwise do they want to be run out of town and lose the fan base for the next coach?
I would think not. But will they back up the truck and pound down the door to get the guy we need?

We ain't getting Jimbo folks. Quit with the pipe dream

Last year they had that luxury. They'll have to get rid of him if he loses 2 more no matter the replacement now.

and you ain't know that notiger1997, so quit with the speculation. It's as valuable as those that think we do get Fisher. No one knows.

If we miss on both of those, Larry Fedora should be considered if he has another good year at UNC.
But yeah hopefully the chips fall in a way that allows us to get either Herman or Fisher.

Exactly, they had Fisher ready and Miles was out the door. Of course once it fell through and the bad press came out, Fisher used it to get a raise. TAF has the money, and the want. Alleva for his faults, has managed the financials well and really invested in the program. He sucks at hiring though, but even he knew it was time for Miles to go. King didn't want to lose funding and deal with more cuts so he nixed it.
We are at the point now however where even King won't be able to save Miles. The money players are going to start withholding the money until changes are made. We don't know when it's going to happen, but this will be Miles final season.

I recall the extension in the beginning of 2015 but not anything since then..?

no I have no faith in that. Please
That's what folks don't understand. There is zero guarantee LSU can land either of those guys.
I def think Jimbo is uninterested after last season

I love that people just automatically think Fisher and Herman, the dream choices, are going to come here. I'd start preparing yourself for the excitement of Larry Fedora being announced as the new head coach...

It's not like it's our call to get either one of those candidates. We think that every coach in America would switch to LSU if offered.

But why?
Everyone keeps saying that ship has sailed.
It wasn't public "knowledge" he was coming to LSU, and he was pretty blunt in his presser he had not spoken with anyone from LSU. He put it to bed and then moved on. There was a Miles debacle, not a Fisher one-outside of LSU fans, anyways.
He also didn't sign another extension in November. If anything the ship would have sailed because he found his QB for the next 3 seasons.
Other than that not much has changed.

Half of us think that and the other half think LSU is gonna be stuck with Bob the Tomato from Northwest South DAkota School for the Blind.
In reality if any of us knew how this shite worked, we'd be competing against Jimmy Sexton for clients.

I'm not convinced that Jimbo would leave the cushy situation he's in to jump into the same conference and division as Nick Saban.
He doesn't have to fight that Goliath every year at FSU and can still make the playoffs...

I'd be happy as a pig in the mud with Fedora, honestly.

And I'm not convinced an elite coach isn't looking for the next challenge. It's why many of them leave cushy jobs to try the NFL.
We just don't know. The stars obviously have to align to convince an elite coach to change jobs. But there's no way to know someone's personal agenda either.
