Do you guys think this is the end of the road for Les Miles as far as coaching goes? He'll turn 63 in November. Does he retire? Turn to broadcasting? I'm sure if he does still want to coach, there are a number of programs who would hire him. Whatever Les Miles decides to do now, I wish him the best of luck and I'm grateful to the man for the good times.

Broadcasting? I couldn't stand to hear him speak at half time.
He could be Hillary's press secretary I suppose.

I'm sure he will hang his hat and be with his family from here on out. He's finished being in the spotlight.

He would be perfect as a speaker in the Hillary camp!

Lou Holtz could barely speak, and Les would be worse on TV than Holtz.

He's done..was just milking it as long as he could. He won't stoop to take a lower level job and no high level colleges are stoopid enough to hire him.

This.
He'll be 63 in November. My observation the past few season's is that he seems to have lost the intense drive or "fire in the belly" (or possibly "the chest" to use his own phrase) needed to succeed at an elite level in college football today. I see this as his last HC job. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that ESPN and/or the SEC network are currently talking to his agent. He'd make a great addition to a college football show.

I hate that things ended this way. I wish he'd forgone the extra money he'll get w/ the contract buyout and instead had resigned now, to become effective at the end of the season. Perhaps the team and the state would've risen to /15 A&M game. That would've allowed him to leave w/ grace and dignity.

I have no ill will towards CLM. He is a fine man, brought much success to the football team, had no scandals, graduated his ball players and was a fine ambassador for LSU and LA. Unfortunately, he let the game pass him by and his loyalty became an albatross. So long coach. I wish you well in your future endeavors.
