If the committee was doing what we were told that it was created to do, then yes. But we have some so much inconsistency with this committee that it appears to me things like logic and reasonable judgment have been thrown out the window in favor of matchups and high profile traditional programs for cash flow. The glorified poll that we now call a playoff committee will choose the playoff teams each week based on what they believe works for the good of the NCAA brand and not what makes sense.

And regarding State's chances, I think they are pretty good. They have nothing to lose and Dak will playing in his last meaningful game (egg bowl won't have any playoff implications for either team). He would love to have a signature win for game film on his pre-draft resume against Bama when they were attempting to make a possible title run. And the fact that it will be in Starkvegas adds to the excitement as the folks there are off the wall excited right now! Keep in mind that this will be the best QB that Bama has faced all season. They have not played a team with a veteran senior QB nor a QB with Dak's skillset. He will give that defense all it can handle once again. I don't care for State much at all but I do take off my purple and gold glasses when I look at conference match ups and I believe Nick and the gang will lose Saturday if they don't put this game away early.

Oh and F$%#! Bama!
