Will LSU-Bama stay as a yearly game when UT and OU join?

I really hope so. The rivalry has gotten so heated and the game is usually epic. What do you guys think?

After cbk won in his 1st attempt, bama is probably ready to swap lsu for a yearly match up with vandy.

What were the ratings of this game? What are the typical ratings of the game? I think this might be one of the most valuable games and ESPN will want it every year.

I really just don't think ESPN is going to want to lose that annual game (if they have any say in it).

If there are 3 permanent opponents, we know Bama will for sure get Auburn and Tennessee. It would suck for them to get 3 Big Six members as permanents, but hey, permanent opponents have never really been fair.

In this scenario, LSU's would be Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Alabama.

But who knows, I am in the minority. Most people would tell you that the LSU/Bama annual game would go away.

No, Bama will work with the SEC to make sure Bama regular games are with weaker conference teams.

I hope so too. Would be a shame to not have two legendary coaches like Kelly and saban meeting annually.

Not really true, Bama will want and get TENN and Auburn, and those 2 teams will want to play Bama. The ? is who is Bama's 3rd permanent.

LSU's top 2 permanent games will be Ole Miss and Texas A&M. Not sure who are 3rd one is.

No one has any clue other than the SEC. Knowing how things go, we'll probably get Georgia and Bama.

Only if Bama takes a drastic tumble after Nick quits and they become, as Legend put it, Mississippi State.

I doubt it. I predict the three will be Ole Miss, Florida, and A&M.

Most models projected for each of the 8 football schools must play two other football schools as permanent opponents plus 7 other SEC teams. The going forward problem with the old model is that the 8 football schools were Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, LSU, A&M, Texas & Oklahoma. Tennessee & Ole Miss were not included in the 8. I bet they are looking into Plan B now. Ole Miss may be a flash in the pan, depending on what Lane does, but the Vols look to me to be in good shape for a while. The bottom line is that the people who run the SEC (read Alabama peps) aren't going to have Alabama's 3 permanent's LSU, Auburn & Tennessee, no matter what ESPN says.

LSU - Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Alabama
Ole Miss - Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, LSU
Auburn - Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi State
Mississippi State - Ole Miss, Kentucky, Auburn
Arkansas - Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Missouri
Texas - Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Missouri
Texas A&M - Texas, Arkansas, LSU
Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee, LSU
Oklahoma - Texas, Missouri, Arkansas
Vanderbilt - Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky
Tennessee - Vanderbilt, Florida, Alabama
Florida - Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina
South Carolina - Florida, Kentucky, Georgia
Georgia - Auburn, Florida, South Carolina
Kentucky - South Carolina, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt
Missouri - Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas

That's my best guess for permanent opponents in the SEC if LSU/Bama were to stay an annual game.

Don't disagree: LSU-Bama is house money. But how about LSU-Auburn over aggy?

Auburn has to play Bama and Georgia every year. They won't give them LSU too.

Some Big Six rivalries will have to be sacrificed. The most likely two are LSU/Auburn and Tennessee/Georgia.

Why do you think LSU will automatically get Texas A&M?? The hell with that. I would rather play a traditional SEC rival every year.
