I imagine Hodson is tops on the list. How many games does JJ has to win this season to reach that milestone?

J. russell was 21-4.

JJ had 11 wins this year, 8 last year, and 1 (2?) in '08. So if he starts this for 2 games and we win then he will top Russell.

Don't know about some of LSU's older QBs. They may (likely if they started for 3+ years) have better records than Russell, but he is the best in recent history.

Winningest is kind of a loaded word for JJ so we should call him the QB with the most wins.

As redundant as a statement like that normally is.
I can see exactly what you mean.

No. But he can be the QB that started in the most LSU wins.

you might want to include 2-8 1998.

Hodson started 31 victories. He was also highly responsible for virtually all of them. If JJ wins the starting job and remains in it all season he could catch Hodson, maybe even break the record. The comparison between the two would pretty much end there. If Mike Archer had been any kind of recruiter Hodson would keep the record forever. The team was sorely lacking in talent by his senior season, especially on defense and o-line.

Probably one of the best. But its a misleading stat....He happens to be on a very good team who manage to overcome...
