I say yes, but am somewhat concerned about the implementation of the new offensive system. Excited for Canada to spread it out with some with new formations. I say Guice is better than anticipated, and is a better piece to the puzzle than Fournette was. Numbers won't be as good, but productivity in the offense will be much better in my opinion.

Hard to say without really knowing what Canada wants to do. I don't see 1900 yards and 18 TD if that's what you are asking. As versatile as Guice is it wouldn't surprise me to see him end up with a bunch of receiving yards in addition to 1k plus on the ground. I anxiously await the first 3 and out of the season and the melt that will follow

Idk people seem to think good back should have 2000k seasons and for the most part they don't.

It would be very hard and very impressive if he did have a better season than LF7 did in 2015.

I say no simply because Canada will have more diversity in the offense. However, getting Guice out in space 1 on 1 with DBs is going to be nasty.

Don't worry about this so much. Canada has publicly stated that he doesn't have a set offensive philosophy because he plays to the strengths of his teams. This transition to Canada won't be a huge difference because Canada still is run oriented and he uses a fb. The difference will be that he wont be trying to put a square peg in a round hole like so many years under miles.

What?

To answer the OP- Will he have indisputably the best season in LSU history? Odds are he won't. But I expect him to have a great year

So you think Guice will break the sec rushing yards per game mark? LF is 2nd right behind HWalker. I doubt Guice breaks that. LF was also tge 1st sec rb to lead the ncaa in rushing yards since 1949.

What he is saying is that Guice will have more rushing yards than LF but yet Guice won't have more rushing yards than LF.

On the one hand, the lack of a strong back up suggests he will get LOTS of carries.
On the other hand, Canada will not run toss dives every play.
He should get more touches than last year.

The toss dive was a very productive play for us against every team except bama.

Guice is known, more so than LF, for his pass catching ability. I believe, because of new offensive philosophy, he won't surpass LF'S rushing totals but has the potential for some huge total offense numbers.

Hard to say its an away game season so we won't see much of him against SEC competition. He won't get the juice a home crowd might offer late in a tough game. Thanks Chancellor Aleva.

My guess is no, but my guess is that Guice will have a great year barring injury.
