Don't count him out. There is always room for a shut down defender.

I agree with this. His has top notch defensive skills. While he is unlikely to get drafted, I think he may make some team's roster solely based on his defense.

--------------------------------------- If giventhe opportunity , like most competitive athletes he would want to prove to himself whether he could make it so there are no regrets at age 30.

there aren't many roster spots for guys who contribute negatively on offense

A bit of a stretch. His shooting may be suspect but he does lead the team in assists. Don't hate on the assist.

Ya'll do realize that there is only two rounds in the NBA draft right? Sure, there is free agency and other options but there ain't much room for error if you are making an NBA salary. I could see Temple maybe getting an offer for free agency or signing a one year deal to shut the other team when his team is up by 15 in the fourth qtr. and needs D more than offense.

I agree with you. There is virtually no chance he gets drafted. But that doesn't mean he can't make a squad post draft.

Do you guys who think GT can make a roster in the NBA watch the NBA.Its a very different game one maybe two passes then a shot goes up.There is no defense played during the entire regular season,a little is on display in the playoffs. It is an offense only league.Come on down and watch the Hornets live play notice whats happening off the ball, just two man games for the most part.GT while I love the guy and what he stands for has no place in the NBA.IMHO

Bowen single handedly changed the Spurs series last year against the Hornets exclusively with his defense.

So you're saying Temple is as good as Bowen? I don't know about that until it happens. Bowen is always on the All NBA def. team. Temple is on the All-SEC team. There's just a little bit of difference there, but I wish G.T. the best and thanks to him for following his familys' footsteps.

Hell no!!!! Where in the world did you get that? I was simply stating that there IS defense in the NBA. The guy who posted before me was claiming the NBA is all offense and they don't have room for defensive players.

David West not being able to stand up straight had more to do with that series than anything else.Bowen as has been stated many times is a great three-point shooter and a better on ball defender than GT.If he came out of college right now with the same offensive game as GT do you think he would be drafted.
