My uncle's best friend lives near Auburn and told my uncle that Crowton was shopping real estate around there today.

If they fired Tubberville to get Crowton, then they have some serious issues on the Plains. I would be happy for Crowton.

I don't think so. I don't think he wants to be a head coach again. He has like 7 kids and I think he is pretty happy here. He is a class guy and a good coach and I hope he stays.

Simple answer: NO!
The three names being mentioned here in Alabama are Butch Davis, Cinncinatti head coach Brian Kelly (not sure if that is his name.), and Mike Leech.
However, I am not sure that Auburn could lure Davis or Leech to the plains. The announcement will come soon b/c Auburn would not have fired TT if they hadn't already set something up with another coach. Should be around Monday when we find out.

Kelly is a good coach.

Kelly recently announced he was staying put at Cincinatti...not that a personal guarantee means anything these days

I have a friend whose great uncle meet a man who is a friend of a guy that knows a fellow who once heard of crowton and he said the job is his for the asking.

I think Davis, and Kelly are outstanding coaches! I don't want them anywhere near awabrn!

Not likely, all three of those candidates will have a bowl game to coach. IF Auburn decides on one of the three they will wait until after that to make an official announcement.

I hope so. A good friend of mine is an Oregon fan and he doesnt miss Crowton one bit
