We know he is not stubborn and would never stick with things that aren't working like his 3rd down defense, his prevent defense, Karnell Hatcher, etc.

He's made changes at MLB almost every game.

Benching welter in crunch time.

He'll start next week though

surprisingly, I looked at some stats the other day and Hatcher only started 3 games in 2011, Minter 11. I coulda sworn Hatcher was out there more than that, maybe Chavis just couldn't keep himself from subbing Hatch in.

anyway, carry on. your boy should be here shortly.

what I want to know is why we were playing 3 linebackers against a team who put 3-4 wide receivers out every play?

He's locking up the starting job again with 7 tackles against Furman

Oh you mean how they got 50% of their offense on one play that they ran over....and over...and over....right at welter.

I don't get that either, and it's not the first time it's happened. we were in base 4-3 on Murray's game winning throw against a 3 WR set. and get this... Welter was on a slot guy and Barrow looked to be at Mike.

Lamar Louis was playing like a boss on that last drive.

Louis played a lot more at the end of the UF game and then WHAM we get hit with Welter on every down for the first 3 quarters. Its amazing.

This! First time I've seen Louis play like that. Maybe he's got it figured out and is reacting instead of thinking.

It's happened in quite a few games this year

Reminds of Jj/lee 2010.

Start Jj, when the game is in the line, put Lee in

he was. Re-watch the first bama game highlights in 2011. You'll see Hatcher in every bama offensive highlight missing 2 tackles per play.

Don't understand his thinking for constantly leaving 3 lb's on the field on passing downs....

Welter was on the field vs FL in 4th and 9 and 4th and 27 situations, isolated on a slot back.

If I were not in the 5 deep of our secondary (safeties and corners), I would consider transferring.

I honestly think there's a reason outside of football for why a change has not been made. I can't find a hs coach that would stand for the level of play we have seen from that position.

How do you go from 3 players playing on Sundays at MLB to our present situation?

I think you're missing the obvious Hatcher highlight, namely throwing a devastating block to free the Arkansas receiver on the last play of the half.
