Will anything be done about flopping? What do you want to see done about it?

With the current trend of flopping resulting in penalties for personal fouls, do you see the SEC or NCAA doing anything about it. Do you want to see anything done about it? I know it was great when we were the beneficiary of it, but it has now cost us a game. How bad do you see the flopping getting, or are you not worried about it at all. I don't want it to turn into the NBA where there flopping around on every play damn near. It's much more hurtful in football imo.

Hmmm. why are we so interested in getting it policed now?

How about just back away and don't put yourself in a position to be called for a penalty. There was pushing and shoving between both teams for several seconds before the flag was thrown. Flop or not, there's no need to even put yourself in that position.
On the two that went LSU's way, both Debose and Wallace could have walked away without a penalty. They didn't.
This isn't basketball where a guy flops during a play while an offensive player is trying to make a move and/or set a screen in the course of action. This is after the play bullshite that is avoidable with discipline and understanding the situation.

personally, I am not. I just wanted to get everyone's view on it. I just don't want this trend to gain momentum and start having all these personal foul penalties from players flopping around like a sniper hit them. It's not just because LSU lost on one. I was not all that excited when the LSU players were doing it in previous games. Its a pussy way of getting a penalty imo.

I agree with Kracka. This is football, dammit! Not pansy arse soccer or basketball. Flopping is for bitches.
Pass a rule that allows for video reviews of personal foul penalties. No flags for flops!

I just don't want to hear anyone bash soccer ever again for the flopping.

Look, I totally agree with this 100%. I came unglued in the stands the other night because this exact reason. Players need to have the maturity and frame of mind, that in a situation like they were in, you CANNOT allow yourself to get called for any shite like that. Whether or not the guy grabbed him and was pulling him off. He should have just left it alone. That penalty cost LSU the game plain and simple. It wasn't the ref's fault, or Mile's fault. It was all on that specific play/penalty.

Aw man, there you go flip flopping in your own thread about flopping!
These big dudes bumble around each other getting off of the pile every single play. You can't expect for there to never be any light pushing. It was the FLOP that was the problem. It was the flop after multiple players on both sides did a little checking, pushing, and shoving for 5 seconds after the whistle. It was the FLOP that was the problem.

if they are going to throw flags for flopping, then LSU players need to be flopping as well. They could all learn from jamal adams. he's got it down.

Apparently this board thinks it's hilarious when players flop

See, that's the thing. Of course, you're correct, but who wants to see that? If they don't act quickly, football will start to have has many flops as soccer.

It's the fault of the officials. They throw the flag on a few of those, then suddenly it becomes expected to draw a flag in that scenario. It's not like basketball where play is affected and altered. In football these flags happen during dead time. If the refs would keep the flag in their pockets, the acting would stop. That stupid umpire on Saturday night threw a flag on one guy when about 18 dudes were just as guilty. He rewarded the flop.

It is funny but it's also ridiculous and is obviously causing questionable penalties to be called when they probably wouldn't otherwise. It's starting to become a trend that should really be addressed by both the nfl and the NCAA.
