It's simply funny to think he'll be drafted.

It's for the people that said he should have stayed since he won't get drafted. Then make the sarcastic joke about playing overseas. Maybe the kid needs the money. Maybe he was done dealing with LSU's bullshite. Not sure when he signed his agent compaired to the hire of Davis.

I can't remember, but the euro/china league salaries are like 30k a year. He won't be making what we most people make

I think the Euro leagues is a lot more then that, Americans also tend to get paid more there in the CBL

This is no rip at Blakeney, but he probably needs to get taught a lot of things before he's even ready for pro ball. LSU's bball team last year looked like a bad highschool team with the way they played on both sides of the ball. It didn't even look like they were being coached or taught anything.

he should, based on his athleticism, willingness to defend, ability to shoot off the dribble, & finishing ability.

I saw an unreal note earlier today that he only had 16 uncontested looks this year. SIXTEEN!! How the frick does that happen? He made 10 of those shots.

Take his percentages with a grain of salt. The guy with NBA players around him should, at worst, be a patty mills type player off the bench.

Super Germans I'm sure I am not basketball intelligent but has he hired an agent? Is it past a timeline frame to return?

Wish he would return and play under Wade as other said. Again I don't follow basketball but I wish the best for all LSU athletics!

Yeah. I dont get the blakeney bashing. Kid actually came to lsu as a 5 star. And imo he does have that talent. He wasnt coached up worth a damn. And left after two very dissapointing years. Now i do think, imo, coming back and playing for wade one year probably gets him drafted. But who knows, let the kid do what he thinks is best for himself. He paid his lsu dues

He won't get drafted but he needs to develop his game anyways going overseas will help him. Playing in the NBA and making a team is one of the hardest jobs to secure in all of sports. He'll make it to the league eventually. I wish this kid the best.

He screwed himself not coming back and playing one year under Wade.

Why does everyone assume AB left on his own accord? Hasn't anyone noticed Wade as pushed half of the team out.

Blakeney isn't the type he'd push out, AB was supposedly a big fan of the workouts he was putting them through

So if he is one of the top 50 players in Europe he can make between 1-2 million a year. One of the better players he can make between 5-10k a month, a mid-level guy 1-3k a month. At least that is what Google tells me, I'm sure we have a ton of exceptions

The differences are vast. In the D-League, players make between $12,000 and $24,000 for a season. Teams often have long rides in between games and don't always stay in first-class hotels.

In Europe, most players make a starting salary between $65,000 and $100,000, often untaxed. Many teams provide accommodations for players, including an apartment and a car. Depending on the level of the league, the travel is less hectic than the D-League as most teams play fewer games over a longer period of time.
