I agree. CLM was proved wrong by DE's play in the 2nd quarter and he knew he couldn't insert BH in the 2nd half without incurring the full wrath of Tiger Nation.

He needs to go, but canning him now might have have far more negative consequences. It probably would have no positive effects on the season and would disrupt the present coaching staff in mid-season. The correct thing would be for the administration to already be making contacts with the top contenders' agents and to reach out to Miles to work out a possible retirement strategy to save face with everybody. That way, he can quietly leave after the season with respect, and the admins can hopefully have plenty of time to secure their coach without having to go through a messy termination. But with the yahoos running this show, that might be possible.

Don't disagree with any of this. Firing Miles mid-season has no positive impact on the program. None. However, it is full of potential negatives. Additionally, it is my understanding that Miles' buyout drops significantly if he is fired w/out cause AFTER December 31 (There is no chance he willingly retires).

I believe this is already happening. But they will wait till the 1st two sec losses to actually engage miles about retirement. He is acting like a man who knows he's gone already.

Is this normal protocol? Seems to me, this would be very disruptive to the team and would benefit no one but Miles.

They knew last year BH could not handle game time pressure. Etling comes in and Cameron opens up the offense which shows that Cameron had confidence in Etling. Etling wasn't perfect, but was handling the pressure and was throwing with confidence which should only get better with playing time. I said that to say this. Who do you think was keeping Etling off the field? The OC or the HC. Do you think Etling gets the chance with out all pressure from media and fans? How do you feel when you are passionate about something only to be proven wrong?

I will expand my post.. If Miles is informed 3 or 4 games into the season that he will be terminated after the season ends..no one benefits but Miles. Doesn't seem like the right way. The team/players/preparation could suffer. Is that the way it's normally done? I don't know.

While not being an expert on coaching termination processes, I have seen this done many times in the business community with management. The discussions are discreet and confidential, and, if agreed on, allows a cordial, clean relationship termination. If the discussions are leaked, all bets are off and the offending party is fired without further consideration.

History with Miles proves this to be fact. Halftime adjustments as well. I'm not stupid cause you don't agree. He has to deal with a QB controversy on top of everything else now.

Cam basically called the same plays with Danny that he did in the 1st series with Brandon. Danny Boy made the plays and Brandon picked up where he left off....high heat!
Brandon could be a good quarterback with some more practice and patience. If he makes a few of those throws he is like 3/4 and there is an opportunity to get to the plays where we can be more successful.

Because his hand had just been exposed as a huge loser. Miles wanted Harris at QB because the product supported his desire in playing his brand of football.
