Caught the game late. Why did Jump start tonight and not Holman?

Johnson is an analytics coach and based on how Tenn was pitching this weekend the way he set it up gave us the best chance at winning this series. pitching def wasn’t the issue this game it was probably the one positive.

I guess the thinking was we suck and have very little chance to win this series so let’s throw shite at the wall.

He thought jump had a good week of prep and prob wanted to match holman with beam. Wanted to maximize the chance of winning two games instead of trying to get just one. Calculated risk. But nothing works this year anyways

He punted tonight just like he punted vs Arkansas. Guess he punts vs A&M also?

I was surprised we held Holman back

On the road vs a superior opponent, I would have taken the advantage

Advantage was already to Tenn. Now it’s advantage plus

Neal still at starting C, Kling still in CF. At least Larson is a bright spot.

Any average D-1 LHP is going to beat this team. But I do agree that CJJ should be working on ‘25. Figuring out who can play SEC is most important at this point.

Is the portal open yet?

With this team, Jay is going to be punting more than Iowa football.

That advantage only lasts one game though. This way it somewhat evens it out across the whole series giving a better chance to take 2 instead of 1.
