why must A&m win?

We have 1 west one east loss, bama if they lose to auburn would have to west losses A&M would have 1 each but a loss to us would break that tie so what gives?

If the aggies lose, that takes them out of the 3 way tie. Then it's just us against Bama, and they have the head to head.

We beat Alabama out in a three way tie, but not two way.

If everything falls our way though, we can get to the BCS title game without playing in the SECCG. So in that sense, they don't have to win. But if we want to win an SEC championship, yeah, it's necessary.

Because lsu has the advantage over tamu who has the advantage over bama. And round and round it goes.

Because the 2nd tiebreaker in a 3 team tie (after head to head records) is divisional records:
LSU has 1 West loss
A&M has 1 West loss
Bama has 2 West losses
Bama is eliminated.
LSU beat A&M so LSU is the West champ
LSU has 1 West loss
A&M has 1 West loss
Bama has 2 West losses
Bama is eliminated.
LSU beat A&M so LSU is the West champ

Because in a three way tie you go to head to head, well all 3 teams beat each other. So you go to next tie breaker, division record. Bama is out, becuase you have to get the teams down to two. Then it goes back to head to head. we beat tamu.

This is what I was after, thanks ! Just seems order would be division losses then head to head period! No need for A&M to win .

Even in that scenario A&M would need to win? If A&M has 3 losses then it's between LSU and Alabama, since they've played each other you go head to head and Bama won
