This is the assignment by walterfootball.com

Kwon Alexander, OLB, LSU
Height: 6-2. Weight: 227.
Projected 40 Time: 4.63.
Projected Round (2015): 6-FA.
No idea what Kwon Alexander is thinking. He might not even be drafted. At just 20 years old, he should've stayed at LSU.

The Verdict: Bad move

He'll end up some where. Kwon has been a bright spot since his freshmen season

Is declaring for the draft binding if he never talks to an agent or sign paperwork, or is it a done deal ? Seems like a knee jerk reaction on his part.

This kind of has Trev Faulk written all over it. I hope not. Kwon was a standout lb since his true freshman year. I hope his decision works out and he has a solid NFL career.

This reminds me of the story of a recent SEC LB I know

Jonathan Stewart - Texas A & M
Played in every game of his four year career. First two as OLB and last two as ILB.
Led team in tackles last two years.
6' 4" 235 lbs. 4.55 at the 2013 NFL combine.
Projected to be a 5th round draft pick. Went undrafted but signed as a free agent with the Rams.
During the 2013 season he bounced around the league and was on the roster of four teams. He pocketed his $200K but after one year was out of football.

The big difference is he didn't leave college early. The similarity - the odds of making it in the NFL are stacked against most players.

There is no way Kwon weighs that much.

Also, very poor decision on his part.

He needs to come back and get his degree. He is a nice college player but I don't see him being a long time NFL player

So he will play 4 seasons in the NFL making the minimum and pocket more money than most on this board?

Chris Faulk must have been his counselor.

Some guys just have their minds made up regardless of draft grades. No question he should stay, but good luck to him.

Although I do think he's missing out on a lot of money by not coming back, you do know that a lot of players come back either during the offseason or after their career to finish their degree?

Apparently you are too young to remember Trev Faulk. Dude was lights out at LSU, making double digit tackles.....left early, never heard from again. Now, I'm not saying that with one more year he would have changed that. The reality is that probably not. But, he could have been a superstar one more year for a high level college football program, and he could have worked on finishing his degree. I think some of these kids just see the success of other LSU players that left early, and think that will be them. It's just not the case.

Possible, but not probable.....at all. The reality is he probably is just not the right size even if he stayed...but just can't understand the thought process when you are getting a free education and could be a star of a very special defensive unit...enjoy it why you can...you hear these guys all the time talking about regrets....I'm afraid kwon just doesn't see it. That said, I wish him the best.

Kwon made a bad decision. Hope he reconsiders.
