To me it looks like the perfect storm is brewing. Anti Os want O gone with Alleva. Coach O hires an OC that’s been out of the OC circle for 20 years and he hired 73 year old WR coach that hasn’t been in college coaching for 20 years and won’t recruit. Inexperienced QB and stable of running backs look rather bleak.
With all this sitting on Os head and Aranda sitting in the cat bird seat why aren’t yall happy? Alleva fate is chained to Coach Os fate . Why aren’t y’all dancing in the street instead of whining like a bunch of toddlers?

Or is all this melt the expression of fear O will succeed? I’m puzzled.

I realize I have no influence in this situation. I’m just sitting around watching the melt.

Is it bad to put the pressure on the admin to fire O now?

I think not

O sucks and is a major downgrade from Miles and needs to be let go ASAP

Because we don't want LSU to fail. Because it's ultimately not about Ed Orgeron, but about LSU's success. Because I want LSU to win more than I like to be right.

If you're puzzled I'd suggest it's because you've bought into the false narrative that those that hate the Orgeron hire are hoping for him to fail.

You realize that the "Anti O Crowd" would rather O just do what he said he would do and hire "the best OC in the country" than have the whole thing implode right?

I love this.

A couple of years ago I was accused of being a sunshine pumper on a daily basis. Now I'm a negatiger who is never happy.

Beautiful...

Too many people on this board think it is important to be right in relation to OTHER FANS. Thus, they can't comprehend that simply wanting LSU to be successful can be a driving force. Because that isn't THEIR driving force for being on the board.

Nobody really wants to see LSU fail.

However that is what it will take to remove Orgeron.

This may likely be the first year where people that were mad in the past finally stop the checks to LSU. I will save a lot of money this year however i enjoyed spending that money in the past on something i loved.

Its closer to being a; if you love it you will let it go type situation.

Everyone is just pissed it has come to this.

Because our love for Lsu far outweighs our disdain and disgust for Aleeva or the lazy hires made in the football program!

I know it's really hard for some of you to realize that none of us hired O, none of us can fire O, and we are stuck with him for probably a minimum of 2 more years.

Could you please explain to me what good the bitching accomplishes and how its any different than when a child throws a temper tantrum when he wants ice cream?

Like I said the other day. I value long term success over short term "sort of" success.

Similar to the way I look at things with my son. I want him to be a success in life and success for the LONG term.

I could make sure he's never challenged and, when challenged......always tell him that his results were friggin awesome. I could tell him that the sorry job he did on something after never working on it was still his "best". I could just cheer cheer cheer. And, on the day he's SLIGHTLY better than his worst, I could act like he cured Cancer.

But, that would make him a truly shitty adult and, I want him to be the best ADULT he can be. Because, he's going to be THAT for a lot longer than he's with me.

Well. Someone go ask teams that have fallen and NEVER gotten back up if they'd like to have been more aggressive in the past about fixing it?

Tipping points exist. You go past that tipping point, you might as well stay there.

Such a trite talking point. Believe it or not, opinions can be discussed that’s what this board is for. What good does being a Pollyanna about it do?

Definitely need to hold judgement on the Sullivan hire. Our WRs definitely need work, fundamentals and technique.

As for CSE it's a two-headed monster for me:
- The first, I think he'll be a decent OC maybe even very good. 2016 with no prep wasn't bad; let's see what he does with these last two classes. So I'm 'withholding judgement' from that aspect.

- Secondly, how we got to CSE as OC is fricktarded. There's the 'broken promise'thing, the 'why'd we hire Canada anyway' thing. For me it's a missed opportunity to upgrade the staff overall. It's one thing if you fire Canada, make CSE QB coach, and bring in a more proven OC of which there are several available. Maybe promote CSE, bring in a QB coach (or another offensive specialist, not 'recruiter') to augment the offensive side of the ball. The key words, missed opportunity. And then combine it with the other things from the binder, promises, or whatever it just looks ugly. It looks like 'nepotism Les' or 'OM Orgeron' to me. I like neither of those.

Declining attendance is only going to get worse and LSU has nobody but themselves to blame. Spitting on the people who make your product something valuable and then telling them to like it is not a winning strategy.

The big donors are going to be the ones that influence the decision makers. The average fan will only hurt the entire program.
