Every time he is brought up as a possibility, all people post are:
1. He's as dumb as Miles
2. LOL No
3. He can't coach and is Miles 2.0

Seems like he always puts together a strong team and knows how to effectively use his Heisman trophy candidate back.

Not sure why he'd be a bad fit here, but I welcome real criticism of him as a head coach

Not an exciting offense or LSU tie-in

All the board's favorites:
Herman (OFFENSE)
Jimbo (LSU tie)
Petrino (offense)
Briles (offense)

It doesn't have to be a sexy pick. I don't want Shaw, but all we need is someone who knows to maximize the talent that LSU has.

I think it's clear that people want to go to a spread with power running game still mixed in, much like Bama and tOSU. Shaw is much of what Miles philosophical wise, he just gets better QB play and is more balanced. He still plays under center and needs a QB to know how to read D's and have time in the system. Spread systems are so much easier to learn and you get the most talented QB on the field much faster than in a system like Miles/Shaw.

This is the main reason. Along with the fact that he ain't leaving his alma mater in sunny California for 110 degree Baton Rouge, LA.
