Get a job in the NFL? I get that there are fewer teams, but that guy is one of the best I’ve seen and was as close to Mr. Automatic as you can get. Just figured it was a sure hire somewhere

Yep. Jumped on after a long hiatus. Sounds like he may be playing in the XFL

Two kickers were drafted this year. One was a Groza winner and the other is the career points leader in college football history.

There are a couple of jobs available a year. You have to be the elite of the elite to get one of those jobs.

NFL teams expect their FG kickers to kick off as well, saving a roster spot. Cole does not have the leg strength to kick off: this was his own explanation.

He doesn’t have a strong leg. Yes he is very consistent from the 40 in but a team would have to keep another kicker on the roster for kickoff. They are not going to waste a roster spot on a kicker that only kicks off

If you’re watching Saints that’s why Tracy isn’t in NFL

Agree. You have to be able to comfortably kick 50+ on a regular basis. He is very accurate but lacks that consistent strength from 50+.

Did you see what Wil Lutz just did? 58 yards that would have been good from 65. Well....Tracy can’t do that. He’s a 45 and in kicker with a max of about 53 that has problems getting his ball in the air.

He has the longest FG in LSU history and how many kicks did he have blocked last season? Thanks..

Cool. What does this have to do with the NFL?

There was a reason he was playing D-III...and yes, as many pointed out...it was leg strength
