why is deichmann fouling so much to opposite side?

it seems every at bat he is fouling alot of pitches to opposite side/behind him. is it something with his mechanics? it seems this is happening regardless if the pitch is inside or outside.

They have been shifting the infield on him and I think he has been trying to go the opposite way.
