Orlando had seven months to prepare for us too. Sometimes defenses get torched.

Aranda and his defense did not perform well aside from goal line defense in first half.

LSU has as much talent on this defense as Aranda will likely ever have at LSU.

He did not earn that gaudy contract tonight.

Hope he and the defense get better moving forward.

Which DC do you want? Its a new world, kind of like MLB, home runs will happen. Erlinger had to make perfect passes tonight. Tip o' the hat.

A lot of people who don’t actually know football Xs and Os will think he’s overrated because of this game. BUT if you know REAL scheming and game planning you’ll know that yes, when we brought pressure outside of the front 4 we dominated. BUT, the risk of running that playcall consistently verses a great play extender like Ehlinger is extremely risky and he’s one step up in the pocket, and one missed tackle away from six. In this type of game you trust your back side to make tackles in open space and to not let WRs get behind you consistently.

We did just that. Even if it isn’t the popular opinion.

I don’t know who we should hire.

I just know there were a bunch of 3rd and longs and one pathetic 4th and 2 where we looked silly.

That's the ranking of Aranda's defenses. An average of #11.

So on average,
Aranda's defense is better than 119 of 130 defenses. And he is in the toughest division in college football.

That is why he is considered elite.

No coordinator does. That’s why it’s so damn effective

TBH it looks like we should have given Steele some more time.

But I wanted him gone after 2015.

Aranda is the most overrated coordinator in college football. I kinda thought that last year but I am totally convinced of that now. NFL talent at every level and cannot seal the deal with the offense putting up 40+ points. Chavis was better! Can't believe I'm saying that but WOW! Aranda has to go!

You have to stop comparing this team to teams from the past. This fast paced offense will keep the defense on the field more

Agree but not just because our offense has changed but also because almost everyone’s offense has changed. Football is not played the same way it was 10 years ago. It’s no longer 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

Like I said, don’t let them get BEHIND you. Which they did ONCE when Fulton tripped up trying to do too much on third down. Everything after that was the D being winded and not in proper position, both of which can be fixed easily.

Now, stop bitching about everything and accept we faced the second best offense we’ll face all year and for the second game of the year, did decently considering in two of our defensive drives we didn’t have two of our best defenders (Fulton - 1 drive/ Delpit - 1 drive)

Because most of the time he is. But he has had his moments. And I will say I don’t understand his plan when he knows the d is completely gassed. I mean......get some pressure up the middle dude. I do think when we are gassed on D we are way worse than another elite defense in the same situation.

Yeah, he called a shite game tonight

Played scared of Herman

I mean you’re 4th and 2, don’t press receivers, yet leave yourself with no safety for a 2 yd completion and 40 yd TD?

He stunted once and sacked the QB. Spends every 3rd and 10 after that having our DEs high fiving past the pocket 5 yards doing their best Alem impersonations. LOL
