Maybe should go ahead and interview the Saints DB's coach while you're at it. This whole DC saga is getting ridiculous.

There's this little thing in football called injuries.

The DC search at this point has been connected to something liked 20-30 names. Do you really think they've interviewed, let alone considered, 20-30 candidates? Let's be real. LSU probably only had 5 or so targets on the outset of the search, and aside from maybe Shoop there's not a lot of reason to think we know about any of the other guys they wanted.

What is LSU's total coaching overhead? Is it the highest paid coaching staff in the country?

Why would we hire an OC that was fired by his team and said team went on to win the superbowl without him?

Yall don't remember that Parcells fired CC after he went 1-15 as Head Coach of the Dolphins.

Coaches hire their BBQ Buddies. It's a fact of life.

Arnsparger + Archer.
Skip + Smoke.
Gerry + Lou.
Paul + Javi.
Les + BDP + Cam.

Cam IS a very good OC/QB coach though and there's no way the Offense we're seeing on the field at LSU is a CCCC (Cam Cameron Conceived and Constructed) Offense. He's having to work with the cards he's been dealt by the Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

You know it's frustrating for him having to water down the Offense just so the starting QB can get through a game without mistake after mistake. (See 2014 Spring Practice footage and his "1950's" comment)

He's gone from Brees, Rivers, Flacco and Mettenberger to Anthony Jennings.

We're sure he's looking at the game video of AJ and practice video of BH and going .

BTW, BH gets a pass because he's supposed to be having a RS year, but wasn't able to because the Head Coach ran off the two other competing QB's due to their apparent lack of foot speed. No true freshman is able to come right in at QB and compete in major college football. Doesn't matter how physically talented they are. Just too much to learn mentally.

So now it's time for "Cam's Guy" to step it up and get his shite together in the Spring. BH really needs to come in and take over the QB position so there's no doubt that he should be the starter. If he's not willing to put in the necessary work to accomplish that, then 2015 has another 7-5 regular season written all over it..........

As a Chicago Bears fan and LSU alum this has me puzzeled as well. The Bears "D" over the last two years were some of the worst professional defenses I have ever had to watch. I hope it's just a Les smokescreen...

I like Les as a "person" and don't think he should be fired but he should let a group of ex-players and more knowledgeable football minds pick the DC.
