Why has LM become so conservative?

I think everyone would agree that LM is not the gambling, unpredictable coach he was early on at LSU. He is almost the absolute opposite.
Could it be he's just older and lost his nerve?
Has he developed a "fear of failure"?
Could he just be playing to protect his job security? (8-9 wins almost guarantees it)
Is his motive selfish or altruistic?
I think he is a great person, administrator, and recruiter. I have just lost faith in him as a football coach.

He had Matt Flynn and Jamarcus Russell. The 8 pick 6 season by Jarrett Lee in 2008 scarred him.
Its not a bad thing. He just needs a QB he trust.

Jarrett Lee and all those pick sixes is what ruined Les. Never been the same

14-3 is not a big lead bruh. That's when he went into his shell. We should have been airing it out a whole lot more in the 2nd half. Les miles turtle shell offence almost cost us the game after being up 21-6. How much you wanna bet Harris doesn't even have 15 pass attempts all game against auburn. He's gotta take the handcuffs off of Harris at some point and time.
