who can literally coach x's and o's.

Word was he wouldn't let the Musselman guy do much coaching so he left.

He needs to find a young and upcoming assistant that can help out with running plays and teaching defense.

I'm on the Brady SteamRoller.

CJJ needs an assistant coach to do all the things a regular head coach does.

Let's discuss the fact that I'm pretty sure Malone and Elbert combined for around 30 minutes and neither of these guys are capable of contributing at this level. I'm assuming Bridge is still injured but to not even try Epps??

Mussellman had a big influence on the defense last season. He was constantly involved on the defensive end and It was LSU's best defense under Jones. He, however was never long for being an Asst coach regardless of his level of involvement last season. LSU was a stepping stone for him to get anothe HC gig. Everyone knew that going in.

Jones "hired" John Trealor to be his bench coach this season. Trealor was a very big part of LSU's 2006 final four run. Unfortunately, he bailed in July and really put Jones in a bind.

I'm not a Jones fan, but he did the best he could when Trealor left him high and dry this summer

I thought the first part of the game was telling. Tam's first 12 points came on layups and dunks most not contested. Victor's foul trouble just killed the Tiger's chances..he may have played 15 minutes. I'm no coach, but I'm thinking let Epps play and take your chances. Obviously the two very tall guys are struggling.

Why doesn't Alleva get fired and we get a real AD who wants to win? That's a better question.

Dude it won't make a lick of difference. First of all Johnny has his philosophy and that's that. Second, no player (or JJ) is going to fear a bench coach...or listen to anything he says. I literally watched the Brendan Suhr (assitant coach) on LSU's bench say something to Simmons the other night and Benny didn't even acknowledge him (and the guy talked for like 20 seconds)....pretty disrespectful IMO I don't care how good he is.

But then again this is the LSU basketball program....a bunch of me me me's.

You're right... & I was disappointed Trealor left.
