This team was led by guys who weren't ready to be leaders the last few years and we did not get up for those games.
Hopefully goose eggs will be the motivation no matter what happens before that.
A lot of the blame can go on the staff too for not having these guys motivated and teaching them how to shake off a loss.

As a hog fan, you're probably nervous because we've won by 17 points the past two years.
For this year though, y'all should be fine. Our defense should be our strength whereas our offense is replacing a lot of big pieces. If y'all play up to 80% of your potential, you should be set for a W.

The open week is fine just as it is. Just have to start treating it for what it is, a chance to heal up and let players get legs under them to finish out the tough SEC slate.

They go about it all wrong. Put the bye in between those two. The more you lose in a row to bama the more it gets in your head. Then they have two weeks to think about it. Then the team, including the coaches don't get up for the arky game after that loss. And thank God we finish off with shitty tamu now so we can end the season on a W.

Yes, Arkansas has traditionally played us tough, and the new SEC schedule has made the game even more of a challenge. As long as we play the Hogs the week after Bama, this will be a difficult game. Under Bielema, they will always be a power rushing team with a big, nasty O-line. A week after the annual slugfest with Bama, that's not the kind of team you want to face. And I'm sure Bama would feel the same way.

If the only game we lose this year is to Arkansas, I will be thrilled. We can survive a loss them as long as we take care of business elsewhere.

Arkansas game is always close save for 2011 and we were down 0-14 early on in that one. What makes it even worse now is we have to play them immediately after Bama and they are a similar team to Bama. They play tough run defense and a pro style offense centered on the run game. Only difference in them and Bama is the talent on roster.
