Ummmm..my pocket book has a direct effect on the game. I'm tired of paying $$$ for that chitfest on the field every Saturday night.

Dude, you're a fan. You don't play. It's not war, it's not protecting your family or working at your job. It is ENTERTAINMENT!

You sound like the "fans" who tell others to sit down...or maybe you just come to TS in order to be seen?

Then don't.
Damn how stupid are you to not realize that? If you don't like something, don't do it.

If I was or I wasn't, does it ruin your day?

If it doesn't entertain you, don't pay for it. If I felt the way you did, I wouldn't pay for it.

For instance, I don't like to fish. I like to drink beer and enjoy the outdoors but the fishing part doesn't interest me like hunting does. So if my friends go fishing, I hang out with them and drink but I don't buy a bunch of rods and lures for something that doesn't entertain me. If I paid money for that, it would be a waste.

Mediocre entertainment.

A team that has fallen from the top through the midpoint of the season, by losing 3 straight in embarrassing fashion, is at the brink of losing their most successful coach in school history. Despite squandering some opportunities, they manage to hold their ground and scrape out a win against a division rival to stop the bleeding and end the season on a high note. Said coach literally gets carried out of the stadium on his players shoulders while the crowd chants his name, and his job is safe for another year.

If you think that is mediocre entertainment, just stop trying to be a football fan, because regardless of what you think of the coach, or state of the program, that was some damn good entertainment.

The very definition of futility-- arguing for more with people that want Les.

Some fans see their successes and failures in life solely through LSU's record. It's really sad and I feel bad for them. They let it consume their lives. I just don't know why people keep pouring out money and time for something that causes them so much pain.

I don't understand it either. They need to lighten the F up.

the first step is just to become numb to LSU

that way you're never happy or sad and have very minimal personal reaction to the games

This is how it's worked for me for the past 4 years or so,

Doesn't mean I don't want a change. I want to feel something again.

Um no. It is the recognition that the game is ultimately for entertainment, and that game was entertaining.
