re: Why do people on this board think they know better than the coaching staff?

Anyone even suggesting that Lee should have started again against Alabama after that totally deer in the headlights, terrible performance on November 5 and Lee's history of sucking against Alabama is as clueless as they come.
Where did I say he should have started? That whole reading comprehension problem hitting you again. We had 2 QBs. Lee played phenomenal in 2011 and helped lead us to an undefeated season. So when one of the QBs can't cross the 50 yard line all game and keeps turning the ball over, sit him down and at least give the other QB a series.
Are you suggesting that Jefferson played well in his last 8 quarters?

I like Lee, but Saban had him figured out to the point that watching him play Alabama made me want to cry for the kid.
We might have been held below 100 yards of offense with him since Saban figured him out.
You sure like the personal attacks in every one of your posts.
Let it go.

performance against UGA and Bama was bench worthy.
Bench worthy normally implies starting another.

Now, you have gone full retard! The LSU passing offense ranked #102 in the nation and #8 in the SEC going into Western Kentucky.
LSU was having a phenomenal year, but calling the QB play of either guy or both combined as phenomenal only shows how out of touch with what went on that season you have become.
Let it go. I'm out after the phenomenal year junk.

Yet another insult to start.
14 touchdowns - 3 interceptions with over 60% of his passes completed. He led the SEC in passing efficiency. I'd say that is phenomenal.
Passing yards isn't a very good measurement of QB play, especially in college football. We blew most teams out, why would we pass the ball with a 30 point lead?
He has the 2nd most consecutive passes in LSU history without throwing an interception

Three years later, LSU has itself a quarterback: the same guy who threw four picks that fateful day in Baton Rouge, including a dagger in overtime (again to Johnson) to set up a 27-21 Alabama victory. Lee, who eventually lost his job to fellow freshman Jordan Jefferson and spent most of the past two seasons as his backup, is the SEC's most efficient quarterback this season with a 157.4 rating, and ranks 13th nationally ahead of stars like Clemson's Tajh Boyd, Oklahoma State's Brandon Weeden and USC's Matt Barkley.

Most impressively, the same quarterback once derisively know as a Walking Pick Six has thrown just one interception in 155 attempts this season, the lowest percentage (.65) in the country.
We blew everyone out. Why would we be leading the nation in passing yards?

Lee was phenomenal at playing QB for LSU in 2011 season outside of 2 quarters of football. He did everything that you ask a QB to do.
In the RedZone:

and he's been particularly effective in the red zone, where he's gone 12-of-18. Nine of those 12 completions have gone for touchdowns.
He was considered the best QB in the SEC (according to ESPN) up until the Bama game

Because Beckwith is an ANIMAL, and welter is a SLOW Sack of potatoes, it doesn't take a football genius to figure that one out. Just watch game film from last year, welter does not have a nose for the ball, much less the athletic ability to play mike in the SEC.

You are right. You know more about why a defensive player plays or why one doesn't than one of the most respected DC in the game.
