I really don't remember if there was a need at depth or something they saw where they thought he would transition better to CB rather than S. I just think its unusual, you see a lot of CB'S switch to S but almost never vis versa.

As far as I'm aware he's always practiced at CB at LSU

He's never been a S.

He has, IIRC though he was a Safety recruit.

We also moved Voorhies from safety. It appears our coaches feel really good about the depth at the position (Thompson and Battle) - as well as the guys they are bringing into the fold in 2016.

Recruiting sites listed him as a safety. Part of LSU's pitch to him was that we were recruiting him as a CB though. He seemed to really favor the CB position.

Ed Paris was a kid coming out of hs who was good enough to play either CB or S. He wanted to play CB in college, so that's what we recruited him as.

I think Ed Paris is a talented CB. He is fine where he is and was competing to start in the spring. We may see him tomorrow get some playing time. With LSU you never know, he maybe "nicked" or did something silly to limit his snaps.
