If it makes you feel any better, I walked out of '03 LSU-Ole Miss game right next to Archie and he was crying like a bitch.

Hilarious.

You think Peyton deserves respect after his childish move, leaving the field after Drew Brees and company BEAT them in the Super Bowl, not shaking hands after? Great role model. I always liked Peyton more than Eli until he acted like a bitch, but as johnny drama pointed out we know where he gets it from.

The Mannings are not from New Orleans or even Louisiana. I'll give them credit for being recognized as good ambassadors for the city, as opposed to say, Ray Nagin. They hold their QB camp in state, which is a great contribution to football in Louisiana.
I still don't like them.

Well, the story goes that Peyton was set to commit to Ole Miss to play with older brother Cooper, who was a WR there. However, Cooper was diagnosed with a neck condition that required surgery and ended his FB career. Peyton was so disenchanted with the idea of not being able to play college ball with the brother he idolized his entire life, that he wanted a fresh start. It came down to UF and UT. UT had better facilities and tradition. Although red hot in 1993-94, Spurrier had just gotten to UF in 1990, and prior to that UF wasn't a national power (and had Danny Weurfhel.

LSU had the worst winning percentage in school history during Peyton's HS career in NOLA, with Curly Hallman. We had not been nationally relevant since Tommy Hodson's time. Why would he come to LSU? Not born and raised a Tiger?
