Spies get blocked.

And who do we have that's faster than that guy?

needed to go 8 in the box and man up.

Oh and by the way, we don't anyone that can run with this guy. He increased distance between him and Vincent in a 20yd sprint. And Vincent is prolly our fastest guy. Some things you just can't fix.

I saw some bad angles, and defenders chasing someone that took them out of plays. credit Ole Miss for some good execution, and fault LSU for some lack of discipline.

Exactly. Spies on pass plays don't get blocked because the line is limited to the LOS. Run plays are different.

This is the perfect example of someone who knows nothing about football and didn't watch the game closely enough to form an educated opinion....but still goes on a message board to parrot something he heard one of his drunk dumb podnuhs say during the game.

On one play specifically, LB and Safety both over ran the play and left the middle wide open. Once you get burned, and everyone is pissed, trying to "fix it", you get guys running themselves out of position trying to chase the ball out of anger. It takes discipline, calm, and patience to play good defense. Coaching makes that happen, but defense can lose their bubble and get overwhelmed suddenly before getting it back together.

A spy, slower and not as quick as the guy you are spying is a wasted player

We did exactly what we needed to do. Let one guy run around and stop most of everything else, since we were up 21 right away.

But, I know the guy is fast, but we have line and dl that should have slowed him more since we knew it was coming. The have not much else

and of course they brought it out of their secret playbook for the first time. Our coaches never saw video of them run this offense in the previous 10 games, so our defense was not prepared, and completely surprised by them running this gimmick offense.

The majority of their big runs felt like were on designed run plays, no?
