Why can't LSU coaches teach JLee how to NOT throw off back foot?

The guy is progressing, but still has lots of room for improvement. He seems to have improved vision. He seems to make some better decisions, but that lob toss to the middle of the field was fortunately not thrown where a defender could have intercepted it. He made the INT in the end zone, but that was mostly a bad call.
Over all, this is an improved Jarrett Lee, and he would be much further down the road had he received more playing time when the opportunity presented itself in the Vandy and Miss State games. That was why so many of us complained that he did, because it was highly likely that JJ's passing was not going to improve, and we knew Lee needed the growing/playing opportunity.
Still, he made several clutch throws to drive the team down the field when it mattered most.
Now, to the point of the title/post.
The key throw to Toliver was not made with good mechanics, and he was partially repeating the same mistake we have often seen from him throwing with a lean back. His arm and release and accuracy where sufficient to get the ball right where it was needed, so ok for that throw, but that won't work often enough.
Other than decision making and field vision, which will only come with more playing time, throwing off his back foot is a real issue.
Are the coaches so focused on JJ that are not seeing this? Are they dedicating drills and coaching to help him change this bad habit? Will it change as his playing time and confidence improve?

Brett Favre and Jarrett Lee show the same arm strength..
Got it.

Why couldn't Fla coaches teach Tebow to shorten his delivery?
Sometimes it's the student, not the teacher.

Why can't therocketscientist ever start a decent thread?

Probably because Crowton is an incompetent QB coach.

Well, I know you are certainly not a rocket scientist, because you can't do the simple thing and not open my posts. Got it? It isn't rocket scientist, and if YOU never opened another thread I start EVER, other than you incessant comments, I would never have noticed your absence.
Capeche? (your response, or lack thereof, will be telling)

His mechanics breakdown when he feels pressure. But he looked alot better, he needs more time at game speed to not rush and forget his mechanics. JJ needs to be regulated to situational plays.

true dat. I see him improving, and his upside is great due to this exact talent, but I am a process guy, and for him to get where he is most capable of getting, his foot work needs to improve.

the last thing they need to do right now is frick with his mechanics. that is what spring pracice is for.

I am NOT like Miles. If something fortunate happens, yet there is an area for improvement within the fortunate success, I look at the overall process and situation and find ways for improvement. I am pleased he is playing, as I prefer him light years more than JJ to play, but I think in order for him to get to his best, which will aid LSU down the stretch to contend for the SEC title, he needs to improve in this area BEFORE it catches up to him.
