no its LSU

3. If the two teams are equal in the number of times that they have been home and visitor, the games
committee or the NCAA game representative shall observe the following procedures in the order stated:
a. If the two teams have met previously in that particular tournament, the visitor in the previous game
shall be the home team in the game in question
(Exception: In a two-team tournament where both teams have been the home team twice, the fifth game
will be determined by a coin flip);
b. The team that was visitor in its preceding game shall be the home team, unless both teams were visitors
in their preceding games; or
c. If the above procedures do not resolve the matter, the home team shall be determined by coin flip.

Rice will be the home team tomorrow since they've been the visitor more in the regional.

LSU once has been the visitor
Rice twice vs LSU and SELA

?@SmartestMoran
We're told #LSU will be the visiting team tomorrow because Rice has played most games as visitor

Rice was home twice and away twice.

LSU was home twice and away once.

So how does it make sense that Rice gets to be home team more than LSU?

Basically, they get an advantage for losing and playing an extra game. Period.

Being the home team 3 out of 5 games, including the decider, when you don't host is asinine.

But why?

They are not the 1 seed. And they are coming from the loser's bracket.

Why do they get an advantage again?

That is such bogus reasoning.

How can you make a hosting team the away team twice in a row.. And in the final elimination game. Highly unfair.
