I think they would have started either Latz or Bain and tried to get five innings out of those two. Then Norman and Bugg for three more, setting up Newman in the ninth. I don't think Valek would have pitched unless one of these pitchers fell flat.
The SEC has Valek figured out. CPM is hiding him so that our regional competition don't scout him. He's shown he can be very effective if he's not scouted.
